Pros

The work life balance is good for the reason above. Work will mostly come in a waves but for the most part it is an easy 9-5 job. Everyday you can relive the scene from "The Expert". *Google it* Subsidized dinner - $5 off of any meal

Cons

The management is dysfunctional with no goal Zero transparency on future products and revenue No one takes responsibility of their actions and focuses on blaming the next guy down corporate ladder. The smart and creative engineers leave within 2 years of joining Strong emphasis on collecting data that doesn't make any sense Politics drives this company. This place is toxic and poor for new graduates The motto of speed of light is ridiculous. This is just a term used by management when they realized when the project encounters a major setback because they sacrificed too much quality for unrealistic deadlines and cost. Typically results in engineers (individual contributors) to work on the weekend.

Pros

If you enjoy working, this place has that covered. The more seasoned employees are very helpful, know how to get things done. Most of the employees are focused, and there are lots of smart people at Nvidia, unfortunately most of them are not in management. There is still some good culture left, but it will take some effort to find it. The company, as a whole, seems to do a good job at responding to the market, but not so good at leading the market. The level of focus on the core products is good.

Cons

Total comp is being destroyed: Every got a 5% pay cut PTO has been taken away and replaced with "Professional Time Off" No more free food (it was crap, so no big deal) Options are replaced with worthless RSUs There is no budget for training The expected work hours is something like 60 hours per week There is vision, but no resources. Nvidia calls that a strategy. Most people call it hope or wishful thinking. Advancement? Not here. Nvidia no longer cares about turning out great products, the only focus is on cost savings.

Pros

Engineering execution is good. Nvidia has been a market leader in its field. There are some smart people in the company. The company is aware of its social responsibility. They also spend a decent amount of money on employee growth and learning. I think the company culture is good. Oh and by the way, they have free food (upto $5).

Cons

Lots of arrogant managers who have no clue of what they are doing. Future of nvidia is bleak. Basically smart people are treated like a distributed server farm. Perfect place to become a dumb machine & work like an ass. No innovation. The free food is horribleeeeeee.
