Pros

Used to be a Good Company. Will get minimum 50 percent hike, on joining. you can ask for even more. Apart from this nothing else. There are few Good Managers and projects, if you are lucky might get one. These projects are very few and new requirement is rear.

Cons

The list is endless but here are some highlights, all these points refer to Software Developer Point of view and their life in Nagarro. All these things will result in bad appraisal and management will find some reason for bad appraisal. Even asking for appraisal might be taken as "you do not trust management". - Department is headed by arrogant and obtuse people and there is no scope of survival for smart and intelligent employees. - Unlike other IT Companies, Nagarro is 2 Face organization on everything. Management say something good in Townhall and something else happen in reality. - You can only do good here, if you had no family, no friend, no personal life, just work, work and work and make client happy. If you have non of these in Life, Why are you working? - Announcement was made that there will be no Interview on project basis, just general discussion about project. There is hardly any project who does not take interview. - Higher Management does many thing just to make “Good Guy Repo” and that is why it is difficult and had to work hard to be on good side of news. You can not be someone who you are not, for a time you can pretend, you can act, but over time your true face does comes out. - There are policies to not share passwords for project repos, database or other things, however in reality most of the leads ask you to share passwords and just make client happy. Making client happy is only goal here, nothing else. - Management and Leaders know just one thing “How to prove employee wrong on everything.”. No Project your mistake, client unhappy because manager committed something without any ground knowledge - your mistake, it does not matter what "it is your mistake". - If there is rain streets are all logged and employee not able to come to office, it is employee mistake that monsoon came. - If someone in employees family fall sick or died, they will still blame it on employee and there are few people who had threaten to even get employee fired because they had to take care of their family and home and taking unplanned leaves. - Most of the management treat their team member as their servants. Servants who should work even after day ends and also on weekends. Specially now during COVID lockdown. In some projects if employee are not working on weekends, then they need to give a reason. Now there are no prove to show, as all this is done over call and no one is in habit of recording them. Even if you do, they will still fire you only and not senior or old employees. - (Before COVID) If you are on bench - there are no “Work From Home”. This was very strict Nagarro Policy. As for some reason employees were not able to attend online meeting over Teams or Zoom or Skype, from home and had to be in office premises. Might be at time these apps worked just from office for Bench Employees and for rest, these apps were working from their home. Well now thanks to COVID this policy is violated and somehow things still seems to be working and bench people are able to “Work From Home”. - Bench people are now getting fired and my heart bleeds for you. Having no income during this hard time is worst thing that could happen. Hard times really shows what you are made of, who you truly are. These are times when how much love we have in our heart, becomes most important. To not let another life go into starvation, depression, fear and even suicide becomes most important. All the higher management is nicely paid and since they belong to that age group where their children and even grandchildren are working, they could had been one who should had given retirement, in place of young man or women whose family depends on them for everything. This is equality not sameness, this is taking care of everyone. Everyone have something, everyone survive. In place of judging Fish, Elephant, Bird from their ability to Fly. - Some people are nice face of Nagarro and always say good, really nice, and comforting things, but they do not do anything. Their job is to just talk. They give positive feed back, agree with you, say they will do something. Their job is to just talk and not to do something to make change happen. So things remain same. Now you can deny my claims, “that is what you know to do, just be on opposition of negative reviews”, however you will feel nice if you say these all negative reviews are facts. - Nagarro is just a show off and only care about clients and making more money. You can hide things from outside world by giving a nice response by labeling all these reviews as far from TRUTH, but buddy these are FACTS, you cannot hide these from your own employees.

Hire & Fire

Pros

Flexibility of time is provided .

Cons

19 people have been fired. Many people are under NTC (Not to consider) which are going to be fired. They are hiring lots of people just to list company in share market, numbers of people sitting on bench are more than people having projects. No new projects coming. Old projects are being ramped down.

Pros

1) Good Infrastructure ( in Plot 13 building ) 2) Good staff with whom you can enjoy your work ( which is important for me to work ) 3) Average level of facilities ( now almost all companies give you pickup & drop and a cafeteria ) 4) There are several tax saving components like car lease, driver salary etc which you can claim on monthly basis and amount is quite good. 5) Excellent technical teams and COE infrastructure to make sure that the project is a success 6) People are ready to share their knowledge which make you learn at every level 7) Hiring is easy and non time consuming process, 1 2 3

Cons

1) if you expect or if you think your role is to take strategic decisions and take forward company to new paths, I would recommend you to reconsider your decision to join Nagarro at management level as these decisions are not taken by employees in their respective role. You don’t even have any decision powers and need to run to your boss for everything. People at director level don’t have authority to sign Rs 50 bills. Even for team lunch you will be asked to submit your personal credit card bills, full bill, which includes your personal expenses, yes you will have to submit them because they don’t trust anyone who is new in company, nagarro do not provide corporate cards for spending amount related to team / travel and ask for personal credit card statements /bills 2) It is an old vs new game which keeps on going ... yes, I was new and had to leave for good of myself ! . It is not a open fight but in background ego’s goes high as how can someone have better skills than who is in company for a long duration. 3) Old, not ready for the change ( the way industry is changing ) and pushing their own ways to survive with an emotional touch that they brought this company to where it is today makes a winning stroke 4) Me and team had multiple challenges with the employee satisfactions HR and general Nagarro than the project part, this is something which I would not like to waste my time on and expect them to be available in a 3000 user company. My work hours should be more towards bringing better projects and profit for the company and not to get involved in why my team needs more number of pens and pencils discussions for hours. I hope Nagarro will take corrective actions for the betterment of themselves and to retain the talent.

Nagarro Response

Dear ex-colleague, thanks for your fair and heartfelt post. You have praised the technical teams, the culture of collaboration, and the infrastructure. (For these points alone someone else might have given Nagarro at least 3 stars!) The main deficiency you have encountered appears to be a lack of freedom even for experienced people if you are new in the company, with too many checks on even small expenses. We are taking note of both these points. I do wish you had actually spoken with me before you left. My door is always open to everyone for precisely this purpose (well, metaphorically speaking, since I don’t even have a door and sit on a long shared desk in a common area). I would also like to point out that the company has grown tremendously in the last few years and most of the people in most positions are new. If any vestiges of entrenched entitlement still remain in the company, I doubt it will be this way for very long. Anyway, all the best in your next role and thanks again for the genuine post.
