Pros

The good parts 1. Nagarro is perceived as a technology focussed company, as a result they get the projects with all the latest technologies 2. A CEO who is quite focussed to take the company to the next level ( but needs to ditch the liabilities ) 3. Some old nagarro employees are good, so you get to learn a lot.

Cons

Lately nagarro's hiring standard has nose dived, company has been hiring like crazy, especially at the manager/director level. Recruitment practices are really bad, to give an example person "X" gets interviewed and rejected, person "X" again gets interviewed ( in less than a week ) and gets rejected again, this goes on until "X" is hired. Sounds ridiculous but that's the truth This lame hiring process has brought in a bunch of idiotic managers/directors, who have disrupted smooth running projects/teams. These managers/directors are accustomed to micromanagement, they want to keep an eye on all of your activities, it doesn't matter what you do, or whether there's work to be done, you must be glued to your desk at all the times. A typical day for such managers involve over committing to the client( even if client doesn't ask for it ) without asking the team, then forcing the team to work like dogs(no leaves/ WFH for next one month ), in between your work you will be asked for status every 2 hours( even if the estimates and effort is logged in JIRA ), you will be called for useless meetings, where you would be asked stupid questions and you will spend next 1 hour explaining things to them and all this shouldn't impact your work. There was a time when our team was extremely productive/motivated, but ever since this new manager came in things started falling apart, this guy created rift in the team by pitting people against each other.

Nagarro Response

It is unfortunate that you feel this way and it reflects something missing within us that we let it get to this point. In fact, if you are still with us, I would definitely want to spend the time, if you allow, to talk to you and understand how we can improve. If you reach out to HR, they will connect you with me. Having said that, though, I have to say that this review is a little unfair overall. It is clear that somehow we have not been able to address issues that you must have raised (in issue trackers, or to HR). So, your feedback (on there being no one listening to you and issue trackers not working) is understandable. Although, let me assure you, that issue trackers are tracked very seriously by the groups responsible for them. Other than that though, some of the other points seem to be angry reactions. For instance, the youngest member of the senior management team has 12 years of experience; the oldest has over 30 years. Yes, some of them look young, but they are not. In any case, the years of experience is not the only driver of someone's capability. And long working hours is also something that is also an unfair generalization. On average, the majority of Nagarro works 8-9 hours a day (just see how empty the offices are after 7 pm). However, there are always times when you have to put your back into it, but these are short bursts and pretty much happen in any IT organization in the world. If you are working 90-100 hours per week consistently, then there is something wrong and you should definitely escalate to HR. We do have a good set of HR policies, I believe. If there are weaknesses in them, I would love to hear them - it is feedback which helps us improve. So, I do request you to reach out to me so that we can discuss what specifically you think we can improve (I would request this even if you have left us). In the end, I do want to thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Every feedback helps us improve ourselves. We do want to be a highly people friendly workplace.

Pros

This review is not really anonymous since a lot of existing employees will know who I am (designation and number of years is a give away). Here are 'some' of the pros for Nagarro: - A lot of exposure at early stages in your career; - a lot of learning opportunities; - tremendous respect for hard work, talent, and passion; - a company with geekiness core to its DNA; a company for the brightest minds; - always looking to improve on its shortcomings - and importantly recognizes these shortcomings and is open to feedback from all levels of employees; - a company that has grown consistently since its founding; - poised to double in strength over the next 2-3 years; - is looking to make a difference socially as well; - a very flat hierarchy that eliminates deep tree structures of reporting; - founders and senior management lose sleep over things like corporate culture and employee satisfaction. I can go on and on - Nagarro really is one of the best places to work at for those who want to go places.

Cons

Working for one company as long as I have, it is very hard to make a big list of cons (if there were in my mind, I would've left already). That said, there are weaknesses (as any fast growing company may have) and these are being addressed. One of the things that we are trying to improve upon is transparency across the board.
