Be cautious when considering Nokia Technologies (division of Nokia Corp)
Pros
This review is specifically for Nokia Technologies, headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA USA and a part of Nokia Corporation. The company enjoys many of the perks common to Silicon Valley, with decent pay and good benefits. The work life balance is reasonable. There are some very interesting technology projects under development and the company has hired some very talented people who are nice to work with.
Cons
The company has brought in new executives who have little experience running a products business, so there is a heavy reliance on consultants to get anything done in this space. The company culture is also quite different than "old" Nokia, so be prepared for that- there is a remarkable lack of trust and transparency for such a small company. The focus seems to be on style over substance, and doing things instead of doing things right. Fact based, disciplined decision making is not really emphasized.
