Pros

Was a great place to work during the mobile phone boom. The salary was probably on the lower end of the range but the benefits were good, the time off was great (since it was a European company), and the opportunity to travel was good. Lots of opportunity to work with smart people from all over the work and make world class products.

Cons

Suffered from big company complacency and suffered greatly from it. With the thinking they were invincible in the mobile phone industry they ignored the industry trends and the insight of their employees and decided things like flip phones, touch screen phones, app ecosystem, and US market were not important. Eventually these missteps caused the failure of the mobile phone business and eventual sell off to Microsoft (which was a brilliant move by Nokia to cash out but a horrible move for Microsoft and all of the employees that were eventually let go).

Pros

-Relaxed Office Environment -Needed Trainings are provided -Work Life Balance

Cons

-Bad Leadership throughout all the way from CEO level. -People on management level still are not thrive for real change to this ever changing and competitive environment. Companies always implement changes, but these changes only affect people on the bottom the most. People on the top are just playing musical chairs, swapping roles. -Management are rarely responsible for any bad decision they have made. They stay in their job whereas engineers are blamed by being laid off. -Bad Salary to start with. Average yearly pay rise was about 1~3%. This is pathetic. -Managers are selfish, only care about their own promotion.
