Pros

Opportunity to constant learn, develop and innovate.

Cons

Need to be self-directed - not a 9 to 5 job (but what is these days?)

Pros

Nuance is a fast growing company and made a lot of acquisitions over the past years. This created a very vivid and diverse culture. Management typically comes as combination of internal resources and newly acquired talent. This helps adding value, external views and new concepts.

Cons

Just like in case of many other companies, growth pressure and quarter-orientation makes a lot of stress on divisions as well as on individuals, regardless if you are a manager or lower level employee. Depending on the culture you are coming from, this can be considered as dynamic or less-organized; agile or stressful, - but at the end of the day most people face with high expectations and works under more than necessary stress which you need to learn manage to succeed.

Pros

My experience with NTS has been good so far. I get paid on time, and I do not find the problems with management and QC that many others complain about. I do not have trouble at all maintaining the minimum quality score and rarely find that a QC has marked an error where there wasn't one. My manager always reverses errors that were marked by mistake. I am almost never out of work between my primary and secondary accounts. I also appreciate that they guarantee us minimum wage if our lines do not add up to a higher amount. I especially appreciate that they guarantee the federal minimum, as my state pays the absolute lowest minimum in the entire country.

Cons

I do wish the benefits were a little better as they seem to be very basic. However, my previous MT job had no benefits at all, so this is a minor complaint for me. I also wish that the editing pay rate was a bit more, since some jobs do require quite a bit of rewriting.
