Pros

People are nice Compensation on par with industry Flexible hours Not overloaded with formal processes which helps innovation Free soda and popcorn Foosball and ping pong in the cafeteria gives a nice break in the day

Cons

As Nuance is an acquire-then-slash-and-burn megaplex, the hallways are filled with the sad faces of the beaten survivors of previous acquisitions. Products will ship on time regardless of quality. Regular layoffs. Everything is tied to quarterly financials, no vision beyond that.

Pros

people are friendly, can work flexible hours, salary matches the market price. If you get to work on a fun project, it would be great.

Cons

medical plan is the worst I ever had, marketing team could do way better; 4GB memory laptop for developer to write code - this is ridiculous.
