Pros

I find Nuance to be a very satisfying work environment. Every day brings a new set of challenges from which to learn and grow your professional skill set. The collection of talent that makes up the employee base at Nuance is unparalleled. Interesting work, dynamic workforce, and a product set that will revolutionize the way people communicate with one another = really exciting place to be!

Cons

The fast pace can be wearing over time. Communications could be improved. But these are just pain points resulting from the speed of growth over the past several years.

Pros

The benefits package is up there with Google. Medical, dental, 401k, stock options, partner discounts, popcorn and foosball, ping pong, free soda, free coffee tea hot chocolate. I can even work from home whenever I want.

Cons

The parking lot is too small. They do not keep up with the elevator inspections. Not much of a downside, really. Travel restrictions are necessary, but interfering with my job.

Pros

Everything I look for in a company: financially stable; interesting technical products; appropriate compensation; smart coworkers who are fun to work with; and as a bonus it's a quick commute.

Cons

Current splits into divisions means people are often competing with each other for the same resources, but in an unhealthy way -- it does not foster the spirit cooperation and can lead to distrust. I expect further divisional realignment will fix things up. Also, the hiring process is painful -- it takes weeks to get an offer out to someone because of the approval process.
