Pros

Work from home, work at my ease.

Cons

Very low rates. Nitpicking QAs. Management is always trying out new ways to minimize the payouts. In-house employees picking up good dictators randomly and assigning the leftovers to ITPs and then on top of that, they are questioning the quality by post-auditing those jobs.

Working for Nuance SUCKS

Pros

I really can't think of any. Only thing pro was I could still work at home.

Cons

I worked for a hospital for 37 years doing transcription. Then they decide to outsource our work to Nuance. Of course Nuance told us everything they thought we wanted to hear about wages, benefits, schedules, etc. They made promise after promise to get us to come on board. Once we were on board, everything changed. They did not keep any of their promises. They promised plenty of work. You will never run out. Big joke. Then they say we have to flex our hours when we run out of work. Doesn't fit most peoples' lives. They said we would have our own hospital's account for our primary and then suddenly you are being switched to different accounts every week or even more often then that. They gave us their guidelines for QA, NOT. There is NO communication whatsoever with the team leaders. They just talk around your question, never giving an answer to the question. Then they send e-mails saying your work is so poor that you are bringing down the entire team and you need to improve on this. They, of course, will give you more training if needed. Get real, I have done those doctors for 37 years and know the policies of the hospital, they could NOT offer anything helpwise. They have no respect for experienced MTs. They just make life so miserable for you that you will eventually quit. I would NOT advise anyone to work for this company. They may be a growing company, but they need to learn some people skills and how to treat their employees with respect. Also pay stinks. They kept telling us that the incentive program is where you will make good money, but they continue to mark things off on QA that we know are correct and thus, we do not qualify for incentive. We deserve better than minimum wage with all the years of experience we have brought to this company.
