Pros

Work from home, direct deposit paychecks, for what they are worth.

Cons

Low terrible pay scales which end up cheating you. No matter how much you take pride in your work and strive for accuracy and do a good job, no matter your experience, you are micromanaged and are treated like a child.

Pros

There are a lot of great people working at Nuance who are trying to make a difference. If you get into the right group there is opportunity for growth.

Cons

Very hierarchical and siloed. CEO is highest paid CEO in MA but employees often don't get full bonus There is no standardization across the organization. Healthcare division employees often work remotely for example but other divisions require employees in corporate office. Lots of reorganizations and reductions in force...no loyalty to employees

Pros

Work from the comfort of my home. No driving. No office politics. Able to avoid face to face contact with people I really don't like.

Cons

Company changed QCEs from hourly pay to production. It is difficult to complete editing of difficult dictators and fill in blanks totaling in extreme of 50 or more and make a decent living on production. This business is no longer profitable to the transcriptionist or the quality editor. Most are looking for steady, dependable waged jobs. Looks like WalMart will see a large number of applicants who used to work for Nuance.
