Pros

They have direct deposit.

Cons

Did not pay shift differential as promised; would not adjust assigned work types; refused interdepartmental transfer. More like a daycare than a business. Software is horrible; "light editing" actually requires extensive revision but pays at the editing half-rate. Burden of quality falls directly on the MLS; bad audio counts against promised bonus opportunities.

Pros

Working at home, as I have for past six years.

Cons

Had my own business for twenty-plus years, the last six moving it back home. Focused on one hospital for the past six years until Nuance took over in April 2014. From turning in anywhere from 175 to 200 plus lines per hour, I'm finding it very, very difficult to even turn in 1000 lines in 8 hours when I look at my lines counts for the day. I went from making 25.00 to 30.00 per hour down to basically minimum wage, quite shocking! Most of the doctors on my accounts with them are ESL which makes things all the worse. Sad thing, I love what I do!

Pros

Interesting technologies, mostly based on speech recognition (Dragon), some cutting-edge. Most development teams allow at least part-time telecommuting. Decent benefits.

Cons

Everything depends on what team you're in. Some are great, some are terrible. Nuance has no corporate culture of its own to speak of, the company has grown through mergers and acquisitions (sometimes that seems to be their business model). There's not nearly enough cooperation between product teams, and sometimes outright hostility. Corporate politics is brutal within mid-to-upper management.
