Pros

Nuance is a great place to work and to advance. We offer: * Fabulous smart people who all work together cooperatively to accomplish cool, innovative technology. People are focused on company success, and teams are open and eager to collaborate. Smart, young employees just starting their careers are highly valued for their fresh insights as well as their potential. * You can make your own opportunities to grow, learn, and advance, with Management's support and encouragement. Take on new challenges, and you are rewarded. Within one department I've requested and taken on several very different roles, which all add to my effectiveness and career satisfaction. * Very flexible hours

Cons

The commute to the Burlington office.

Pros

Interesting projects using cutting-edge technologies and processes. Superb (and smart) colleagues, many of whom are real team players. Cross-functional teams, so you get outside your "bubble". Very good pay and benefits.

Cons

Promotions difficult to get without tremendous investment of time and effort. Not always easy to get the bigger picture, the context of projects you work in; communication from product managers not as forthcoming as it should be (but isn't this the case in most tech companies?).
