If you ever wondered what Dante's Inferno would be like, come work at Oracle
Pros
- Free coffee - Free sugary drinks - Free Water
Cons
- Terrible Coffee - If you don't drink sugary drinks - Terrible management - UHC - No free food Ahhh, Oracle... This place is like Dante's Inferno if it ever existed. You have people in relationships openly flirting, those who figured out how to cheat the compensation system, people who gate keep secrets to stop teammates from shining, managers who threaten you with Pip's on back-to-back quarters even if you got over a 100% quota attainment, and some other stuff I'd rather not say simply because you probably won't believe me and this post would lose credibility. If you have an opportunity to work anywhere else, please do it. It's not a salary based position. They say it is, but after training ends, they require you to log all the hours you have worked (except overtime of course) and will doc your pay depending on your time sheet (only BDR's are required to do this, nobody else in the company has too). Also, the pay is horrendous for the work you do and politics you have to be apart of. Depending on your state, the taxes could have a serious affect on quality of life. They let thousands of employee's go including BDR's, BDR managers, Sales Directors, etc. that exceeded their quota over a group zoom meeting... All while hiring new people to replace them a few days later. Kind of ruthless and if this doesn't show you how they'll treat you, I really can't make it any clearer. But this isn't to say I'm not grateful for this experience. Oracle made me realize that corporate might not be for me and if I keep going down this path, I might end up losing my mind, or worse. Thank you Oracle for being a showing me what rock bottom truly was. You'll always hold a special place in my heart <3
