Pros

Good Benefits (medical, dental, 401K) Lack of management involvement leads to independence with work Constant variety of activity is normal work does not lead to boredom Oracle looks good on your resume

Cons

Management (from supervisors to directors) involvement with staff is limited, so not an avenue for advice, assistance, and will often not side with staff when confronted with push back from customers. Lack of Career Development/Advancement- unless interest is becoming a manager, there is no career development and transferring to other departments is not encouraged Heavy work load leads to burn out and poor morale that is not addressed.
