Pros

Career Opportunities are reasonable; ability to try out different BUs/countries before settling into the one you intend to grow

Cons

Bureaucracy is rampant; decent level of redundancy across different departments leads to power battles There is a strong possibility of getting "Oraclized" - lack of ability to operate in high stress, 60-70 work week start-up environments

Pros

A large, stable, successful company where you can move around and grow. There are 1000s of smart, capable people. The company has good benefits and salary. Its a good place to work when raising a family. Sales, engineering teams are great.

Cons

Some executives are highly political creatures with strong anti-innovation mindset. Try to work for newly acquired executives (or startups Oracle has bought), if you want to learn and grow. Working with Oracle long-timers is usually a bad idea unless there is a specific smart person.
