Large company, lots of responsibility given to the interns. The learning curve was a bit steep as the expected knowledge base was really high considering we were interns.

The learning curve was a bit steep as the expected knowledge base was really high considering we were interns. The environment felt very "corporate: it didn't seem like some of the managers knew about some of the difficulties in software development.

Pros

Get to work on really cool technical projects with extremely knowledgable team members. Workplace is relaxed, hours are flexible, intern packages are very generous.

Cons

Some of the teams are very distributed, with members in several different offices across the country (or even internationally). This could be a problem if you can't work independently or can't advocate for yourself when you need help. The East Coast offices have very few interns/intern events, so you'll have to do some exploring yourself if you want to have a social life outside of work.
