Pros

Can't think of any other than good work/life balance

Cons

Little to no innovation in-house, mostly acquire and squander is the metaphor (eg. Sun Microsystems). Trickle down economics does not exist here, all of the real money goes into the pockets at the top only. So the salary you hire with is likely your termination salary. Top level management has little to no respect for employees, they are just necessary overhead. Very low morale in general for employees (ref movie: Brazil).
