Pros
Oracle in itself is a self contained ecosphere of products and platforms, the work environment is top notch and pay is above what you'd make as a government contractor which is the predominant employer in this town. Communication is abundant with plenty of backreach for problems you absolutely can't solve on your own.
Cons
Sometimes there is a disconnect between the management layers, primarily caused by most upper level management resides at the San Francisco HQ. Also training is limited in that Oracle compensates for training only within the Oracle ecosphere. Raises are non existent unless you obtain a hard to get promotion.
