Silos upon silos

Pros

Oracle's got a great sales staff, so if you can build something sellable, they'll sell it.

Cons

Oracle isn't one company. It's a collection of various acquired organizations sailing together with duct tape and glue. So there's no company culture. And if you're in a good group, you can have good time. The organization is pretty old school, and connections matter much more than merit. Upward mobility, thus, is pretty limited
