Pros

Large, Stable company with great benefits. The pay is pretty good, and the stock has been on the rise for at least 6 years. Like any big company, you have a secure job. You don't have to work extremely hard, and the campus is very nice. I've worked as both a remote employee and a HQ based one. Each were fulfilling jobs.

Cons

Promotions tend to be hard to get. Typical large company problems, where you feel like you can't make a huge difference. Sometimes the process can get in the way on innovation. Hence the amount of small acquisitions. Small companies tend to innovate better than large ones.

Pros

Best Data Base company in the world. it's going to be around for a while.

Cons

It's a place where "knowledge is power". Therefore people hold on to what they know and prefer not to share it. Otherwise, you'll know what they know, and they won't be "better". The rating system helps to enforce this. No one wants to share information or work together in case you might become better than they are.

Pros

As a consultant you get to work with some of the smartest people in the industry, and with a brand name like Oracle, some of the most interesting projects.

Cons

You can get lost in such a large company. Many times performance varies between the groups within Consulting, but bonuses are calculated on performance of all groups across North America. Less risk, but less reward.
