Pros

Working remotely and company supplied laptop.

Cons

Too many clients to support effectively. Oracle has deep pockets, but none goes to the employees in terms of salary increases, bonuses, etc. Executives are way over paid and their contribution to growth of company is negligible. The leadership does not care about employee satisfaction. It is all about money and greed at a higher level. No room for growth. Oracle would rather hire outside the company at a lesser rate than invest in loyal employees. Benefits become less year after year. The customers overpay for support and they get very little in return for their contract renewals.

Pros

Never get bored trying to learn all the technology offerings. Well known company with a spectrum of ages and experiences. Lots of diversity and lots of opportunities to do new things without rolling your 401K

Cons

Big company with requisite bureaucracy. Legacy sales model needs an overhaul. Company in the midst of re-asserting its identity.

Pros

The people are great and good interaction between co-workers. Benefits are good and there is flexibility in terms of work schedules

Cons

I'm sure like many big companies, you are just a cog in the machine. Upper Mgmt has no clue what the lower levels do on a day to day basis. There is virtually no communication and the atmosphere is that is the top wants something done (even if a horrible idea), those that don't march right along end up ruining any goodwill or change of promotion... Little to know raises these past years. Focus is too much on cost cutting vs rewarding folks who work smart and hard. Therefore moral is much lower then it should be and many tend to do just enough to get by...
