Pros

In some groups you can work remotely

Cons

You are expected to support multiple software applications, unlike other software vendors, and with little to no training. You have to virtually justify your existence each quarter by doing a plethora of reports each quarter for your bonus, even though the company sells software to give managers insight to that information. The administration required is mind-boggling, and the beauracracy is incredible. Very siloed company.

Pros

Great resources in terms of trainings (Oracle University) and stable and steady income. As a company, Oracle is not going anywhere and is incredibly profitable. it will be here for the long run

Cons

Oracle does NOT give any raises or Cost of Living Adjustments. Thus, the salary you negotiate up front is the one you will have for the longevity, with some possible $2k to $3k increases along the way. Upper levels of management keep cutting costs and benefits and do not value SCs. They value Sales Reps more than SCs and only see SCs as a cost burden. It used to be a fun place to work but under the new HP managers, the morale is dismal and the work ethic is pathetic.

Pros

Large company, exposure to cloud based operations, ERPS, automation and world-class software.

Cons

Forget a life beyond work. Expect calls at any time of the evening unless you draw very specific boundaries. Expectations for work are way beyond regular hours of pay. Some managers will resort to guilt tripping, micromanaging, emotional blackmail. If you are lucky to get a good manager they may protect you from some of this.
