Bad Leadership and Culture

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Flexibility of working hours. No control of ordering IT Peripherals; a user have the freedom to order more than one item except laptops. Freedom to claim meals, team activities etc

Cons

1. No increment nor Bonus 2. Bad Leaderships from a HUB in Malaysia; The VP and Directors are not considerate and do not show empathy towards employees. 3. A lady Director bully an employee for the benefit of her own self and her team. 4. Being a famous and big IT organisation, internally the management cultivate bad culture and alot of politicking. Its a toxic place to work in. 5. Besides bad leadership and management, the internal process is very complicating and inconvenience. A new employee has to set up their own laptop, account, profile etc referring to a document on how to set up their own machine. Bad IT support, for an IT company. 6. Unfortunately Mr. Larry Ellison and Ms. Safra Catz do not realised the hardship the employees suffer and face, especially during the pandemic. While everybody is working from home, there are no consideration of any 'hardship allowance' given to the employees. 7. If one doesn't mind working for a reputable IT company who doesn't reward/recognised or give out bonus/increment, by all means, join ORACLE CORPORATION.

Pros

- You're working for a top software company so it's nice to have on your resume - Fair salary (but you're gonna be overworked with no OT pay so not really) - Good HMO - They provide good work equipment - Fun activities when in the office but that was team initiative

Cons

- Boring work. If you expect that you'll be handling Java in this company, high chances that you won't. Most likely you will be dealing with proprietary tech and worst case is even having to rely on a slow IDE on a VM to work on it. Debugging will be a headache because you won't find solutions on google. - It starts fine during training but once you're in the project, no work-life balance. There were many times that I did not sleep due to releases AND NO OT PAY. - Pressure from work will burn you out.

Pros

Very Bad Company. No Pros.

Cons

Rampant Harassment. Managers are High Headed. you will be treated very badly and if you complain to HR team of harassment, they will not do anything about it. they will delay the matter . They also take help from local politicians to trouble you outside of the company and then also get the police complaints closed.
