      There are good reasons to work for oracle in the following areas (this is applicable for Romania only) : Support, Presales and Development...

      Cons

      There are no Bonuses for the employees, not even for Christmas, Easter etc. (I don't mean like 100% monthly salary... i mean a bonus like 2% from monthly salary for Christmas... or something like that). It's a great pride competition... There are few managers... most of them are control freaks... and persecutioners...

      Great company. Getting diluted by acquisitons.

      Pros

      Many work at home jobs. Management is not a nanny to control your every move, only intervening as needed. Solid company with many great products and a slick reputation.

      Cons

      Wave after wave of acquisitions have diluted the company in key ways. Some companies fit in better than others. The effort to change the entire support infrastructure by dismantling a highly successful system developed over the last 30 years and replace it with newly acquired products that are slow and limited is a formula for disaster for both customers and employees.

      Excellent medical benefits that are very generous. Large company with staying power and continued growth in the future. Potential ability to move into new roles if you are motivated

      Cons

      Overspecialization of the sales force causes negative customer relationships. Many conflicting agendas to continually navigate. Poor pay for internally promoted people
