Pros

Myriads of resources which are not available to outsiders, brand name, good money if you negotiate at joining, good benefits package

Cons

No job satisfaction, too much politics, consulting needs an upheaval, employees are kept in dark about the company's policies, performance appraisal are just a farce

Pros

Some of the brightest people I have worked around. People are focused and driven to succeed. Oracle hires some of the best and most talented people. Proud to have been part of a great team.

Cons

Very competitive, almost back-stabbing culture. Information flow from one side of the business to the other is limited by design. The organization is designed to compete internally as much as it is to compete externally.

Pros

"Stability" - relatively speaking. The company is performing well financially, and has not had large scale layoff, yet.

Cons

It is a very political organization. Some people, especially old timers, seemed to be more concerned about protecting their sandboxes than getting real work done. This often result in product compromises that do not benefit the customers and weakened executions all around.
