      7 years and still no company wide raises

      Pros

      the company still seems to be making record profits and share holders seem to be happy.

      Cons

      The company is not sharing the record profits with the employees, the executives and shareholders are the only ones benefiting. we are loosing experienced people to better paying companies that at least give cost of living wage increases. Since buying Sun, we are also turning into Sun style management. Isn't that what got Sun into trouble? I guess someone will eventually be buying Oracle like we did Sun.

      Pros

      The pay and the benefits were really good. I got a chance to fly to interesting locations and work with some good people.

      Cons

      I was at Sun when they bought us and basically ran our unit into the ground. I would recommend anyone who works at Oracle to stay in the areas that are growing as the hardware side took a beating.
