Pros

A lot of good, smart, friendly people, supportive culture and decent pay. Acceptable work/life balance. Good flexibility in achieving your plan, i.e. willingness to make adjustments due to changing business conditions. Acceptable autonomy in doing your job with help if you need it.

Cons

Unreal bureaucracy, more time spent filling out spreadsheets, reports, and PowerPoints than in actually doing your job. Feels unnecessarily hard to get anything done, also that too much energy is going into simply justifying your function's existence. PTO plan is way behind the times, particularly for a tech company. No merit increases. Seems every year they take something away - 2014 it was car allowances, 2015 it was forced PTO at end of year, announced after 3/4 of the year had passed when many already took the year's PTO and now owe it back (or get it deducted next year - are you kidding?). For a company with considerable resources, not enough attention and focus put on programs to transition to SaaS-based business model. Senior management and HR seem way out of touch with the way people expect to be managed today and what's actually required to run a successful tech business in the cloud.

Pros

The salary and benefits are not too bad. If you are someone who is only interested in money and not in personal relationships, it's the right place for you

Cons

There is absolutely no team spirit. I don't know if it is for all job in sales, but this guys make a pride of the fact that they are a Self service company. They keep repeating it till you are sick, what they don't say is that the real meaning of self service is lack if accountability. Some of the managers are absolutely useless, and the lack of real support is appalling. The turnover of people, especially in BDG ,is huge. People leave at enormous speed, looking for a better company, probably because of the awful culture in this one. But the Company don't care. They are so full of themselves that they are just too good to actually invest in their people, convinced they will find someone else to do the job.

Pros

- Incredible benefits are the only reason I’m giving them 2 stars. The health insurance is top tier compared to anything on the job market. - Great work-life balance (mostly because leadership is nonexistent, but nevertheless the extra time was nice)

Cons

Gone are the days of a successful trajectory for the BDC class of programs. If you manage to avoid the cycle of layoffs every 6 months, you’ll be looked at as disposable up against the mass amounts of new cohorts being brought in constantly. The promised promotion of BDC to AE within 12-18 mos will NOT happen, and hasn’t happened since maybe 2019. The explanation for promotion path will be consistently left vague by managers and directors. KPIs are ever changing, once you’ve met quota, there will always be a reason you haven’t quite done enough. The Oracle name on your resume is the only good that will come from this position. Please do not waste your time here if you have any mild sales experience - you’ll be spinning your wheels making 50K waiting for an AE role that will never come. Territories are overinflated with reps from different angles. BDCs are not respected in the slightest. This program was designed to coach and educate SaaS newcomers, unfortunately the way it’s being operated will inspire those to stray away from sales.
