Pros

Oracle has always provided the freedom for talented and skilled people to make a case for doing things their own way. Flagship health insurance.

Cons

Too many middle-aged managers. Upper management is filled with people who aren't leaving unless they die, so opportunities for advancement are few and far between. At the lower end, they fill positions with "lowcost headcount". This produces near-constant churn because they leave as soon as they build up skills and can go elsewhere for more money.

Pros

Benefits are competitive. Working for Oracle looks great on a resume.

Cons

Low raises. Poor organization at the macro level. Self-service to a fault
