Pros

- Expectation is low and if you are not looking for aggressive career or you are somewhat close to retirement and want to have slow pace environment, Oracle good be a good environment. - Work life balance - Flexibility of working from home - Average benefits: no paternity leave, ok health insurance

Cons

-Slow innovation and doesn't appreciate high performers -Lower pay raise than market and no annual bonus -Super low vacation days. I have 13 days but company is forcing all employees to use 4 vacation days in Dec 24 and Jan 1. Therefore, you have less than 2 weeks vacations. -Low budget for self improvement -Average skilled software engineers -Not a good place if you are young and eager to learn.

Pros

- Nice place to work with flexible timings and working locations - Key to success: Be in good books of your manager (by doing anything except work) and you will get good hike (whenever it comes) and regular promotion - Liberal Company: You can't fired even you are in bench for more than a year and even not coming to office.

Cons

- Salary: Negotiate as much salary as you can, after joining, for 2-3 years, you will not get any hike as your portion of hike will be shared among managers sitting from past 10-15 years - Lot of Managers and less actual worker. This will force you to satisfy lot of manager's ego and you will get lot of hindrance in your work as every manager will try to show his value for that project. - Limited Growth: People associated here with 10+ years knows that they can survive in the market, so they can't leave. If anyone in senior management moves out (happens rarely in 1 in 1-2 years), then generally permanently close that role as they know it was not required. Additionally, the old employees don't want to see new joinee to grow, so they make a situation that you have to either compromise your life or leave the company.

Too big to care

Pros

There are some interesting benefits (example: up to 35 days of holidays) and free on-line and on site trainings.

Cons

The management does not care about their employees at all. Your direct manager has no decision power whatsoever and act only as a mediator between you and other millions of levels of top managers that you only heard of. Processes are EXTREMELY slow and frustrating.
