Pros

Looks good on resume. I can see no other reason to work for them.

Cons

1) Meet Grinder 2) Leadership at VP level has no understanding of what makes employees productive 3) Employees are numbers, not people 4) You can make money, but it is not worth it 5) 20% of the employees are making all the money, while everyone else starves 6) Territories are not thought out correctly 7) Morale sucks to say the least 8) Management leads with fear instead of encouragement 9) Management is very arrogant and often do not listen to employees 10) too much red tape and politics 11) too much micromanagement 12) too many products to sell and customers are confused 13) There are no restrictions for customers to use the software, so sales folks have to always give the customers the bad news that they are out of compliance running software without paying for it

Pros

+ You can learn oracle from oracle , huge scope for picking new technologies and doing certifications. + Good work culture , unless you are unfortunate to work under a bad manager . + Good health benifits

Cons

+ No transparency , in hr policies and management polices . Though the policy says , you are free to move across Line of Businesses [LOB] , this will never happen unless you are too lucky . You join a LOB and mostly you have to retire from there . + Work style is mostly like a government organization, routine work through out the decades , promotions based on the number of years of experience irrespective of your contributions . + Good Compensations are history , day by day the board is becoming so greedy that they have indirectly gave a clue that there will not be any market correction till 2013 and it did not happen from 2008 . The worst part is they are recruiting and the new joiners are getting better paid and offered better positions . So you may have to train a person , who does not know anything about the job , but is drawing twice the amount of your salary. + The lower and middle management are just puppets. + No , work from home policy and No transportation to the office . In one word , oracle is golden trap. Looks green and gold when you are joining , but soon you will realize that you are rottening.
