Pros

Oracle is trying to diversify. It's database is one of the best in the world. From a corporate view, Oracle sounds like a fantastic place to work. It has server software, retail software, analytic software, etc.

Cons

Corporate bloat. Top level management takes a very long time to make decisions on things like salary, promotions, bonuses, etc. Top level management is too reactive on a quarter-to-quarter basis that some things are canceled before they even have a chance to succeed.

technology/knowledge is there as long as you wish to study and keep breast of it. Working time is generally with flexibility. You could work overtime from home.
