Pros

Flexibility allows telecommuting, relatively low stress working environment, hour of working are flexible, project timelines are generous, product release cycle has been extended.

Cons

compensation is not up to standard, extremely bad ESPP progam where we only get 5% discount off stock but they keep our money for 6 months, poor bonuses, no stock options given to employees, hiring freeze has our department extremely lean, company is becoming so large with the acquisitions of different companies.

Pros

Stability of Company - it's doing pretty well when others are being bought up Flexible work hours, at least for some teams, it depends on your manager. Knowledgeable people to work with, alot of smart people here Training Opportunities are good to increase your skills with classes and some money for education

Cons

Pay and bonuses are low, and you usually don't get regular salary increases, and if you do, it isn't much. Can be hard to move very far up and take on more challenges since it's such a huge company, so you have a lot of competition up the ranks. The Executives are paid way more than their peers at other companies, while the workers are underpaid, so it can make you feel very unappreciated.

Pros

Oracle consistently pushes to keep consultants trained in the latest technology, and provides opportunities to exercise those technologies. Oracle allows consultants to take risks in order to succeed (or fail) based primarily on the individual's own performance. Oracle has no problem booting poor performers out the door. It keeps one pushing to stay on the edge. Benefits and salaries are better than average for the region. A good long-term assignment can make Oracle employment very rewarding.

Cons

It's not warm and fuzzy, it's competitive. It runs through cycles of collecting too many management layers looking for something to do (but cleans house by reorganizing annually to help shake them out). There is pressure to travel frequently and there are limited alternatives to excessive travel. It is often a place to learn Oracle technologies well, pay your dues, and depending on available assignments, just move on.
