Lots of politics and if you are good at politics then one cab climb the ladders sooner than anyone could expect. So no value for talent.

Oracle as a brand name, unlimited vacations, winter break, public holidays.

Cons

No merit increase for 4 years, management focus on budeget and ignoring employee needs, no standards for employee performance review among subteams, employees need to worry about their utilization for billable work although they have no control over their work assignments, management doesn't listen to employees' concerns, no actual career development plans, high turn over within the retail system development team.

Pros

Oracle has a very flexible work environment and if you are lucky enough to have a good manager it can be a good place to work. The applications are slowly being innovated to meet the changing workforce so they are committed to the cloud vision.

Cons

Oracle invests nothing in it people that have been with company any length of time. Their focus is millennials and hiring and training them. They have continually cut compensation to the point that after 13 years with Oracle I couldn't afford to work their anymore. I found many companies out there with better benefits, pay, and work environment.
