Pros

sun's engineering jobs are so exciting because various new technology and products both s/w and h/w come up all the time. I'm very satisfied with working at technology rich company.

Cons

Sun don't have stable management strategy. So any new product releases and new technology will be always changed. From customer's site planning point of view, it was so inconvenient.

Pros

Not too many Pros; hours and workload vary widely; management is not really managing much; everyone is afraid of losing their jobs, no real innovation, constant cost cuts, no raises or bonuses in 4-5 years, but work-at-home is more then allowed, it is encouraged. Insurance coverage is actually pretty good.

Cons

Travel rules are impossible to deal with; Purchasing is designed so no one CAN purchase anything in reality. Expense reporting is also made overly difficult (I assume so employees will eat some expenses, rather then bother trying to expense them). No raises or bonuses in years. IT has plans at top level, but no one below Directer cares, after ever increasign workload on most employees.
