Pros

I am one of the many number of people hired for their product support after Oracle closed down their many offices overseas, and getting in here has shown that the benefits are pretty good compared to other companies; the cafeteria is reasonable, the soda and coffee(so-so at best) are free, and lastly, you are definitely going to be busy once your training(mines was very short) is over....

Cons

....which leads to the downsides of working here. There are not enough hours in the day to sometimes get your other work done especially when you are dealing with a large customer who wants to be first in the line to get their issues resolved; its a really thankless job, sure you get the occasional free food (ran out of taco meat last time) or ice cream, but extra compensation in recognizition would be nice. And from what I've heard, pay raises are as rare as a dodo bird here, which could make some people leave in a year or two; if you can get the later shift, at least you can get some extra pay(which can take place of a pay raise).

Pros

Large software company with some very smart and talented people. Benefits are competitive. Starting base salary is competitive and eligible for overtime. Exposure to Oracle products.

Cons

No potential to bonus. The lack of product specific training is shameful. Many leaders are remote and the lack of accountability lets those lazy employees get away with anything. No real potential to get substantial raises and from what I can tell moving around to other products may prove difficult.

Pros

If you are looking for stable job, and not getting raise every year... then this is good for you. Good health insurance and benefit. Work life balance is good. One you off, you are off.

Cons

No salary increase for years. Stock plan is 5%. No stock options.
