Pros

Great product with talented employees.

Cons

Clown Town at the Executive level. C-suite recklessly burnt investors money and then had to lay off a large percentage of employees when numbers didn't add up. They spent millions for an employee offsite in Vegas and currently spend millions for their top heavy c-suite and yet chalk up layoffs to "macroeconomics ". Time to get real and figure out your business model. Stop with the grandiose vision. MANAGEMENT, stop asking employees to write positive reviews on Glassdoor. People see through which are real and internally written.

Pros

There are some really kind, wonderful people who work there who are still holding onto their belief in the product and original company vision

Cons

Sadly, the ELT and leadership have completely lost sight of the vision and are struggling at all levels to build a business growth strategy after being used to the product selling itself before competitors entered the category. This struggle has completely filtered down to every team and created a very toxic culture at all levels. Without a clear business strategy, most teams and people don't know how to be successful in their roles and push out their problems onto others and other teams. ELT has been trying to point fingers in every other direction but at themselves, including ignoring the alarming attrition rate and actual reasons behind people leaving. The unprofessionalism I experienced here day in and day out was shocking and made for a very miserable professional existence. I could feel the chaos during my interview process but unfortunately had no other job offers at the time and had to accept. I quickly realized they lied to me in the interview process to get me in (I now know their attrition rate is why they're so desperate to hire talent), they lied about both my pay and my job scope. I tried to make the best of it and approached every issue with a positive attitude for as long as I possibly could - but because of how unhappy people are here, their misery slowly chipped away at me until I finally accepted that there was no hope for a better future here. And if real change actually does starts to happen here, I decided that it wasn't worth dragging myself through the mud to see it through so I left. I'm lucky to have found another job with much better pay and benefits, and an actual path to being successful in my role thanks to there being an actual business plan creating an accessible path to growth led by executives who actually have experience growing businesses.

Pros

Management is bringing in more qualified individuals for senior roles. Influx of hiring diverse backgrounds.

Cons

Little to no internal advancement, this was amplified after layoffs in November. Lack of leadership at all levels of management. Outside of sales there is zero coaching or mentoring. Mid-level and senior managers are highly competitive and do not try to elevate other employees interested in management. They will pay for certifications but that is all as far as internal development. Favoritism is unapologetically rampant. Core Values have gone out the window years ago. No transparency (A former core value that actually dropped saying it was implied) There is no opportunity for 360 feedback to management, even though it has been requested openly during all hands several times. Very siloed with little to no accountability to inter-department dependencies.

With the right combination of dedication, skill and effort, all Owners have the potential to grow their careers internally. To help them along the way, we provide various mechanisms for feedback at all levels of the organization including 360 assessments, professional coaching, and ongoing learning and development resources. We also just launched Own Academy, our Learning Experience Platform (LXP) where users can access tons of live classes, on-demand courses, and resources in an array of different focus areas. Our core values are our north star and have been for years. ‘We build trust through transparency’ has always been a core value, and still is today.
