Pros

You get a new laptop, and a balloon when you are hired

Cons

Worked my tail off, went above and beyond, and in the end my work and devotion went completely unnoticed. The higher management treated me as if I was beneath them, and I still did my job with a smile and a positive attitude. When I was let go, I understood that my dedication, my diligence was completely disregarded. I was given reasons for my termination that were not even part of my daily responsibilities. HR makes you believe that you are important and wanted upon hiring, but once you start working for the company it is very clear that you have entered a very corporate work environment, where you just another cog in the wheel.

Pros

I am officially two months into my tenure here at OwnBackup, and I can honestly say I've never worked for a company as amazing as OwnBackup. The company is growing rapidly - doubling year over year. But that hasn't kept the leadership here from focusing on each and every employee. Employee satisfaction is emphasized here, and culture is just as important as results. This translates into awesome company retreats and events. OwnBackup handpicks its employees; the people who work at OwnBackup are some of the warmest, most driven, and most caring people I have ever met. Because of the growth that the company is experiencing, account executives here are able to reach a growing number of Salesforce customers who understand the importance of backup. In essence, our platform is extremely easy to sell because every Salesforce org needs it. It is incredible to see the internal growth of so many employees here. Promotions aren't just a thought here. The leadership actually puts plans in action that allow people to grow to the next level, and to succeed once they get there. On a personal level, I am fortunate to have an incredible team with a top-notch manager, VP of Sales, and Office Management team (major shoutout to Maggie Harten, Shira Jason, and Leah Betso), all of whom work to ensure that any question, special request, or need I have can be answered, fulfilled, and accommodated. Don't let this important point be an afterthought if you are considering a new job. It is so critical to have great people around you who will actually go way out of their way to accommodate you. OwnBackup is the first workplace I've been a part of that supports me as a person, not just as an employee. The company purposely set up our office in an open manner, which allows for constant collaboration and teamwork. Also, we will soon be moving to a significantly larger space, so there are many even better things to come. I can't tell you the number of times that other companies I've interviewed with have made promises (especially in terms of culture, work environment, and company growth) which they don't deliver on. OwnBackup is the first company I've worked at to deliver on every single one of the promises they made to me. Everyone cares here, and that translates to a successful environment. While base salaries for account executives are around average for tri-state area, commissions potential for AE is so much higher here because you're closing deals all the time. Benefits are pretty solid overall, although 401(K) matching is still on the roadmap. If you are lucky enough to be interviewing with OwnBackup and seeing this review, make sure not to miss the opportunity of your lifetime.

Cons

Wish I could get to see the people from Israel and UK offices even more often. Would love to see 401(K) matching for 2020.

Pros

My experience with OwnBackup has been amazing. It truly was a career move that I don't regret. Sometimes start-ups are risky, but this is not your ordinary startup. I felt right at home from the start with OwnBackup. The training was structured and very helpful. Being a Salesforce Gold ISV partner was a huge bonus. I love that the company isn't afraid to invest in anything that it sees as valuable and worthwhile (i.e. Dreamforce, User Groups, Marketing, etc). The rapidly growing R&D / Dev dept is one of the most innovative & agile I have seen. They actually listen to the customer base and make enhancements to the product quickly based off of those suggestions. This is critical in the face-paced technology world. The marketing team is world class and in no time has already helped establish us a THE premier Appexchange partner of Salesforce. Name recognition is priceless. Sr Leadership knows what they are doing and has a plan in place to get us to the top, FAST. It's always nice to trust the decisions that are being made for the future of the company. They have led start ups through this growth cycle before. We keep adding more and more experienced individuals to the team to help build upon our success. The theme you have heard is "don't just get people in the seats, get the RIGHT people"! The office is a very fun environment, where something is always going on. One great perk is that they bring in lunch every Friday. Not only is that nice to have food, but it's also cool to get to know your peers better during this time. Some of the fun things we have done are celebrating B-Days/Anniversaries, Halloween costume & Ugly sweater contests along with a company-wide fun day at Six Flags! We also have top notch Kick Off's & Mid-Year Meetings, where no expense is spared. Overall I am grateful for the growth opportunity that is available at OwnBackup. It's a really great place to work & be part of. It's a "rocket ship" that's headed straight up & I am proud to be on the ground floor of it. I look forward to even more success in the years to come!

Cons

There really aren't many cons that I can think of. One thing I would like to see them add soon is 401K matching.
