Pros

Reputability in the industry. Decent benefits. Good PTO accruals. 3 month lead up to contract renewals, so you have some lead in time in terms of looking for another gig should the sponsor not extend your contract. Can help you find work if a company doesn't decide to extend your contract.

Cons

Pay isn't the best. Have to be onboard for one year prior to being able to pursue a FT position at the company that you are contracted to help. No transparency in terms of what they are getting for you vs pocketing themselves. No input on what your annual raise will be.

Pros

-Comradery between employees of similar level. -Good location . -Well established if you're looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do and how to do it.

Cons

-Poor salary compared to similar companies in the area. -High turnover in all levels of employment (on my 4th supervisor in 12 months). -Little to no flexibility. -Middle management rarely takes concerns seriously or voices them to upper management. -Abysmal response to COVID-19 (transitioned from assigned desks to hot-desking, no mask requirement for months, the PPD branded masks are a joke). -No effort put into identifying waste using project management tools like LEAN or 6-sigma. Middle management would rather just tell employees to work faster without compromising quality. -Unrealistic turn around time requirements made up by upper management when the clients had no say in what they are happy with. -The bar for getting fired or put on performance improvement is so high that bad/toxic analysts never leave or get re-trained which means good analysts are always picking up after them/spending hours fixing their mistakes, causing good analysts to leave the company.
