Great First Job- Poor Career Choice

Pros

This is a great place for new grads to start out. The salary is a little under whelming, but it has come to my attention that it's relatively on par with other CRO's. In this industry, the people are expendable capital unless you have a PhD.

Cons

It's not a great place for professional development.. There could be so much potential if management could focus more on employee development and method efficiency.

Pros

Flexibility, overall a great team. Benefits kick in on date of hire, and they believe in work/life balance (my department) Salary was pretty good.

Cons

Working here I saw high turnover. My department was totally manual and there was tons of paper that needed organization, making it almost impossible to work efficiently. We went through 4 departmental managers in 4 years.

Pros

You can more or less set up your own schedule and there are incentives for doing extra work.

Cons

The only real downside is the pay but PPD is a great place to start out and the environments much better than its competitors.
