Pros

The employees are great to work with. Supportive culture amongst teams. Benefits are good.

Cons

Much like most of this industry, Allocations are never realistic for your study duties. Be prepared to work extremely hard and have a burnout or two. We all expect to work for our wages but you really have to be intentional to set boundaries and enforce them. Or work/life balance will not exist - even though it’s heavily promoted. But the reality is that you are just more often than not over allocated. Internal application process needs some work. Trying to move between roles can be difficult and you can be left hanging for a long time just waiting on a response to an application.

Pros

PPD seems like they have it all figured out. They want to ensure that employees have balanced lives and want to avoid burn out. My previous employer rewarded us with more work, when PPD rewards us with time off and well deserved breaks when we need them most. PPD seems to understand the work-life balance and I sincerely appreciate them and I should've made the change 10 years ago!

Cons

Should have trusted my gut and changed earlier!

Pros

You can get away with highway robbery if you’re low enough on the food chain and no one cares enough to put you in check. Amazed with some of the things I’ve gotten away with..

Cons

Everything else. One of the most toxic environments I’ve ever worked in. The bad vibes linger like an ominous mushroom cloud over the building. No one from the top down is happy there or cares enough to hide their misery. Most employees pass through for less than a year and then wisely choose to bounce. Backstabbing vicious coworkers who will try any petty tactic to bring you down. If you stay long enough, you become just like them- in order to survive. Or you stay off campus and work from home as much as possible.
