Pros

Good work atmosphere. People are very friendly. Great location for work. Very flexible work hours. Need to be there from 9-3 but can adjust either way for the 8 hours.

Cons

Some upper management doesn't deserve their title and doesn't work hard. Frequently I've had to do upper managements job without recognition. They promote people who don't necessarily deserve it. However, other groups have great bosses. It all depends the group you get into.

This position provides an opportunity to learn more about CRO world and various departments in the organization and how they work together.

Cons

This position can be stressful and the work load is often high. Management of external vendors and internal team members adds another level of complexity.

You will gain exposure to a wide variety of therapeutic areas that will serve you well establishing a career in pharma.

Cons

Expectations and workload not commensurate with the pay. Over a decade of poor management has led to a bureaucratic and operational nightmare in my department. Opportunities for advancement are few and far between. Employees get burned out and end up making lateral moves.
