"Not a place to build a long term career. Join only if you have no other option."
Summary
1. Abject lack of meritocracy
2. Mass firing
3. Culture of yesmanship
4. Directionless leadership
5. Indifferent and self consumed management
6. Arrogant HR and admin department
7. Heavy cost cutting and low appraisals
Topmost management
They are business-persons, not entrepreneurs. PTC buys companies like Thingworx, Vuforia and others, and later milk them out to death. They don’t have the vision, aptitude and the intent to build and nurture great companies and products.
Senior Management
In a culture of mass firing only yesmen-ship survives. Senior management is busy playing petty politics and saving their jobs. Who has time for growth and the employee welfare!
Lower management
Filled with non performers. Senior management makes sure that they fire all the good performers. Who likes competition… Huh!!
PTC India Engineering/ Product Development team
Under visionary Jim Heppleman, PTC India has ‘transformed’ from a high end R&D Centre to a B Grade back office. Don’t fall for fancy words like IoT, AR/VR etc. PTC India is focused on bug fixing and tech support.
PTC India HR
The most arrogant team I have ever seen. The way they talk to employees and prospective candidates is deplorable. They are responsible for PTC India’s bad reputation in the job market.
PTC India Admin/Facilities Team
Only politicians can survive at PTC India and their admins are there for almost two decades. Admin heads handle the written complaints with one liners and then bury them verbally. Admins have conveniently made sure that employees don't have a reporting software to raise complaints and later escalate them to senior management in Boston.
PTC India Council
PTC India has an oligarchic council made of arrogant VPs, haughty HRs and inept admins. In the name of company welfare, they collude to preserve their seats and bury all the genuine complaints, making sure truth doesn’t reach to the topmost management. Council members scratch each other's backs and make sure to fire all the rising stars and performers.
Value system
Employee welfare or customer’s growth is never PTC’s priority. They are there to make money.
Career growth
If you are good at playing company politics, PTC can be a place for you. If you think your work will talk for itself and help you grow, think again buddy!
Lastly
PTC’s paid PR machinery will try to remove my review. If you find it helpful, please vote it up.
