      Great place to work if you are on a newer product team

      Pros

      PTC is a great place to work if you are on one of the newly acquired products teams. Currently, that is Arena and OnShape. Older product teams undergo yearly layoffs. A Chief Diversity Officer was hired a year and a half ago, and she has made great progress with DEI initiatives. Good benefits.

      Cons

      Yearly layoffs. No efforts are made to place people in different teams instead of laying them off. Major lack of diversity (gender and ethnicity) on Board and in executive management. Senior management can’t seem to let go of idea that every job function doesn’t need to be in a corporate office.

      Strong Leadership making tough but smart decisions

      Pros

      Over 30 years, the company has weathered multiple transitions, which have impacted people with restructuring. As difficult as that can be, the leadership has made tough decisions faster than others, keeping the entire company growing and even thriving. We are hiring for SaaS relevant roles, and in SaaS relevant locations. We are growing at more than 2x the market rate because customers prefer our software and trust our strategy. Selling for PTC is much easier than selling for our competitors.

      Cons

      Leadership is blunt and transparent. There’s no sugar coating the demands of the competitive market we play in. If you want blissful ignorance this is not the place for you.
