      Very interesting products, combined with bad local management

      Pros

      The company is constantly growing and strives to be a leader of it's field of business, and excels in strategy planning. It enables good Work/Life Balance, flexible working hours, good location.

      Cons

      Low Compensation and Benefits, Strange people and no Culture. The local management skills aren't great, and they tend to prefer new employees over experienced ones. The focus is on the investors and little about the employees.

      Pros

      PTC offers flexible working hours (manager and position dependent). PTC has onsite gym and cafeteria (food is average). Office is located on the scenic lake shore and a lot of employees take a stroll during lunch hours. Real offices for developers (not cubicles or open space). PTC does yearly employee surveys and adjusts its policies and benefits (recently it added 1 pto day for employee birthday following survey).

      Cons

      PTC requires yearly "harassment prevention" and "ethic" courses which are the same year after year so everyone already got it.

      Pros

      Average salaries, decent benefits, bonuses.

      Cons

      Much lip service about valuing employees while this company will immediately lay-off with no notice at all (I personally witnessed this more than twice) Don't believe that things will go on as usual if your company is bought out by them. Update your resume NOW. No hope for relocation assistance either no matter how good your past performance has been. There are more supportive software companies out there with better benefits.
