Pros

They pay well and offer professional development in which they pay their teachers.

Cons

Some schools and principals seem to care more than others, which means some schools have many students who are out of control and there doesn't seem to be direct and immediate consequences.

Pros

As far as classified employees are concerned very cost effective medical, dental, and vision package for the employee and their family.

Cons

About the only con I could think of is the lack of training offered to newly hired employees.

Pros

District has done a good job with financial management. Layoffs have been rare, even in tough financial times. Benefits are great. Great opportunities exist to transfer within the district.

Cons

The avenues to advancement are strictly defined and adhered to. Whether you're an excellent employee or not, raises come in a predictable manner. Many jobs are less than 12 months.
