Pros

Fantastic and reliable products in many different areas.

Cons

Way too conservative in recent years. In order to survive in today's fast paced market, product promotion (ADVERTISING) is necessary. Just because the products are good is not enough to win placement and get potential customers to purchase your products. Consumers in the United States are not as loyal as they used to be. Employees are treated as a number rather than a human being.

Pros

For a person with a 2 year degree or less, Panasonic is an excellent place to work. The pay is excellent and opportunities for a 2 year degree employee to grow are excellent. Great co-workers. Large parking lot with many open spaces.

Cons

Leadership and advancement based upon longevity rather abilities. Management lacks the ability to utilize the strengths and talents of the individuals in a group. Lack of initiative of management to make decision in directing activities. No new technology - wait for the competitors to determine the market -then copy the competitors. These items lead to a very high turn-over for people with a 4 yr degree or higher. Excluding Pay and Heath Care, the benefits have disappeared (No bonuses no perks). The general feeling is that the division could close anytime.
