Cons

Sometimes rely too heavily on the brand, and do not easily accept feedback from the front line. Japanese management over estimates power of the brand (IE rest on laurels?)

Fantastic and reliable products in many different areas.

Cons

Way too conservative in recent years. In order to survive in today's fast paced market, product promotion (ADVERTISING) is necessary. Just because the products are good is not enough to win placement and get potential customers to purchase your products. Consumers in the United States are not as loyal as they used to be. Employees are treated as a number rather than a human being.
