Pros

-Opportunities to travel, if you are in the right position -Great people to work with -Flexible hours -Fitness Area/Gym/Cafeteria -Team Building -Open Atmosphere -Great benefits, flex days, time off

Cons

-Cliques - You know whether you are part of the group, or if you aren't. Clear cases of favoritism -Feels like you are always chasing a carrot. Once you meet targets, executive team wants even more -Communication is weak. Always feel like you are in the dark -from day one, there has always been threats of layoffs -Workload is way too heavy, to the point where people are having anxiety attacks, long stretches of sickness, and breakdowns at work -Performance assessments are a joke

Pros

-Some of the people working in this company are actually nice. -Benefit package are fine + 1 day off a month. -Neteller used to be a great employer before merge with OP

Cons

-No Salary increase, they barely match inflation (****make sure you negotiate your salary well before you are hired****) -The company is stock market driven, God knows what's really going on. -This company might probably shutdown Calgary operations eventually. -Some of the managers in this company are not qualified for their duty and it shows.

Pros

A lot of experience to gain in the financial industry in the first couple of years Always busy with new projects and developments. Very good work life balance Very good benefits Stock options Very stable. Business is international with almost no presence in Canada. Therefore Canadian recessions does not affect company's bottom line that much. Thus not causing massive lay offs.

Cons

Annual performance reviews does not reflect actual performance through out a year Average salary increase barely covers inflation rate. (e.g. in 10 years you will be making 20% more, but inflation will most likely eat 18% of that) Make sure you negotiate your base salary appropriately. You will stick with it for a while.
