      Pros

      - A lot of mentor-ship available as there are many developers here with decades of experience - Great work culture with friendly and approachable management - Competitive salaries with bonuses and RRSP matching available - Dedication by the company to keep employees happy (regular monthly events, social gatherings outside of work etc.) - Strong financial outlook for the company (at the time of this posting)

      - The FinTech industry is very complicated and has a steep learning curve that doesn't seem to ever end

      * moving towards newer technologies and paradigms. * use of Scrum agile processes mostly true to agile principles, with some improvement needed in product ownership and defining acceptance criteria.

      Cons

      * still quite a bit of legacy code, some as old as 10+ years. * most work using new technologies is done outside North America.
