Pros

Job security. Good stepping stone to a real job in the Food & Beverage industry. Great place to get lost in the corporate system.

Cons

Everything else. Corporate bureacracy. Brown nosing. "That's not my job". "We don't do that". Promotions based on politics, not merit. Utterly useless management team.

Pros

the money is seriously the only pro about this job.but still it is nowhere near worth it.

Cons

worked as a warehouse loader in Elyria,OH and was really excited to get the job being it was permanent full-time and had a union as well.well lets just say i learned very fast that not everything is what you are told it will be,my 40 hour week became 60+ hours a week of MANDATORY overtime also i never received a 2nd day off,it was mandatory 6 days a week.As for a work day it consisted of starting at 4pm and working until atleast 4;30 am and after 12 hours on the job the union negotiated you can "walk off" for the day.but keep in mind if the job was not complete and you leave after a long grueling 12 hour shift, management still holds it against.also while most jobs have atleast a few paid sick days, not here, you get 2 personal days until you have been there for a year and then you get the standard weeks vacation.keep in mind until then you only have "8 points" until you get terminated this is a yearly point system and calling off from work = 1 point and coming in late or going home early + 1/2 a point,so basically you can only miss at the most 7 and a half days of work in a year before you get fired and remember,it is not a normal 8 hour a day 5 days a week gig,you will be working 10-12 hours a day guaranteed and 6 days a week,if you do happen to get your second day off and they need you to come in,guess what?if you don't come in...you take a point.i must stress this when i say there is absolutely NO WORK/LIFE BALANCE HERE.i am sure not all the warehouses are like this,i am just sharing my experience and hope you can take away from it what you will, good luck.
